As Salamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh. This is the story of how Um Anas Islamic Fashion & Book Store begin. A Sister named Um Anas started her Islamic business since April 1989. Sister Um Anas only started selling 10 Hijabs and 5 Abayas at beginning of her Islamic business career at her home apartment.
On March 1991; Sister Um Anas opened the first Islamic Store in Canada. By the grace of Allah, the store expanded from a small tiny store on Railside Road near Masjid Ansar to a much bigger and better space to accommodate all your Islamic needs, From Abayas, Kaftans, Hijabs, Accessories, to Islamic Books, Men’s clothing like Thobe, Hat, Scarfs to Gift items like Islamic frames, Prayer mats, Kid’s clothing and so much more.
Sister Um Anas had a dream to inspire the Ummah to promote Modesty and to promote Islam through her Islamic Business. She always wanted to give back to the Muslim Community. She started the Um Anas Foundation on February 2014, to give new Muslims or those who can’t afford Islamic clothing, Free of charge. On December 2015, Sister Um Anas also created the Um Anas Clothing Drive for the Syrian Refugees and gave thousands of gently used clothing to help them stay warm during the Winter seasons.
She always believes to promote Humanity, Love, Peace, and Hope to all Muslims and Non-Muslims alike. Sister Um Anas also promotes Facebook and Twitter posts by reminding the Muslim Community to always respect your neighbors as your own family, no matter who they are or what religion they believe in. She also reminds the teachings of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and always reminds everyone of the Surah Al-Baqarah Page #2, Verse 153: Indeed, Allah is with the patient ones.
